when i’m not out photographing families, I am usually at home, running the day to day household activities. like many of you, I am in the thick of motherhood and all the busy chaotic, beautiful days full of sticky hands, messy hair, and piles of laundry. this stage of life is hard, but when I stop for a moment to enjoy it, there’s so much beauty in it. we sometimes forget just how beautiful this time is when we are caught up in the little kid stage. now when I see my 7 year old, I just how quickly this stage really passes, and the memories of her younger years have flown by. I wished I had more photos of her little self, and more film of her. the cell phone photos and video simply aren’t enough.
My Approach to family films & photos
I love to photograph families with two approaches - some formal or posed photos, and then more natural ones where you and your kids are simply having fun together and playing. I find that the best photos tend to be the ones where you are all simply yourselves.
